Shadow is building the platform the security industry runs on: a marketplace for vetted protection, a console for the teams that deliver it, and the compliance record that proves it. Founded by a former U.S. Secret Service agent. Privately held.

Demand, supply, and the compliance file on one record
The thesis

Security is a trust business with no system of record.

Protection is bought on reputation and delivered on spreadsheets, group texts, and radios. The client cannot see who is on post. The agency cannot prove what it delivered. The operator has no portable record of the work. Shadow puts all three on one live record, and that record is the business.

Demand

Marketplace

Businesses and individuals book vetted, insured protection professionals. Verification is the product: unclaimed listings are never bookable, so verified means something.

Operations

Enterprise console

Security agencies, corporate in-house teams, and government details run posts, shifts, live boards, briefings, threat cards, and reports on one system.

Proof

Compliance engine

Workplace violence prevention plans, training records, logged incidents, and audit-ready files. Regulation such as California SB 553 turns a nice-to-have into an obligation.

How Shadow makes money

Four revenue lines, one data spine.

Each line feeds the next. A booking on the marketplace becomes an event on the console, an event produces a compliance record, and the record makes the next booking easier to win.

01

Marketplace take

A booking fee on every engagement hired through the platform.

02

Provider software

Seat-based tiers for agencies, with a flat suite for in-house and government teams.

03

Subscriptions

Guardian for individuals and families. Business Manager for companies that hire security regularly.

04

Attach

Compliance as a service for client companies, with insurance as a roadmap attach.

Why now

The mandate arrived before the software did.

Employers now carry legal duties around workplace violence prevention. Executive exposure is a board-level topic. Event security is a line item on every production budget. None of it has a platform. Shadow already delivers the service, which is why it can build the system.

Shadow is an operating company first. Events, executive protection, Fortune 500 team training, fractional security leadership, and compliance programs are revenue today. The app turns that operating knowledge into software the rest of the industry runs on.
